Turkey is looking for opportunities to shift the current balance of power in Libya after its proxies failed to break the Libyan National Army defenses and capture the port city of Sirte in northern Libya in an off-the-cuff advance. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu announced on Saturday 25 July that Turkey had signed a military cooperation agreement with Niger during his visit to the African nation, where he held meetings with a number of officials and discussed the effects of the Libyan situation on the region.

VoiceTV Nigeria released a video this week warning Africans about Bill Gates’ vaccine plans for the continent, while also exposing the agenda of the Rockefeller Foundation. The video has already been viewed over 350,000 thousand times in the past few days. The video has an image of Ghana President Akufo-Addo, but the audio is someone else’s voice addressing “Dear fellow Ghanaians.” Some believe it is a Pastor or religious leader. This has drawn some criticism, as President Akufo-Addo publicly continues to endorse efforts to combat the COVID Plandemic. But should this surprise anyone after the President of Burundi, Pierre Nkurunziza, was found dead shortly after he called COVID a “hoax” and kicked the World Health Organization out of his country?

CAIRO – The Egyptian armed forces are preparing a large-scale invasion of neighboring Libya, where the Turkish-backed Government of National Accord (GNA), led by Faiz Saraj and in league with the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood, continues to attack the free city of Sirte and the Jufra air base, which have previously been liberated by the Libyan National Army (LNA) led by one-time Gaddafi ally Marshal Khalifa Haftar.

The recently ratified African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) looms over Africa. An initiative of the African Union, this mega free trade deal aims to consolidate African markets, boost trade between African countries, and ultimately encourage and reinforce regional integration. The proponents of AfCFTA say it will transform the continent into an economic powerhouse. But, let’s focus on just one category of the population, one that is pre-eminent in agriculture: what does this trade deal mean for African women and their role in the continent’s food production and trade?

The war to its west would be against Libya’s Government of National Accord (GNA) which threatens to extend itself from west Libya to the Egyptian border. The war to its south would be against Ethiopia which will soon start to fill its Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) with Nil water that Egypt needs to survive.

Russia sees its involvement in the conflict as an adjudicator. It wants to reestablish its long term business interests in Libya which had fallen to the wayside after the war the U.S., UK and France waged against country in 2011. It has sold weapons to Hafter through the UAE and has allowed Russian mercenaries to take part in the war on the side of Haftar`s LNA.

A new round of intense fighting has broken out between the Libyan National Army (LNA) and Turkish-backed forces near Tripoli. During the past few days, fighters from the Government of National Accord (GNA) and Syrian militants supported by the Turkish military carried out several attacks on Tripoli’s Airport attempting to capture it from the LNA. At one point, Turkish-led forces even entered the territory of the airport but failed to secure their gains and were forced to retreat. The key facility south of Tripoli remained in the hands of LNA troops. As a result of the clashes, the GNA captured a T-72 battle tank, destroyed at least 2 LNA vehicles and lost about a dozen fighters.
